2011 ONGOING CLASS SCHEDULE
Robert and his assistant instructors have over 100 years of collective experience in internal arts. Classes include in-depth training suitable for beginners through advanced students of Wu and Yang style Tai Chi Ch'uan, Chi Kung, Visayana and Taoist Meditation.
Beginners should start with either the Wu Long Form and/or Taoist Meditation on Monday and/or Saturday and/or Spinal Chi Kung on Saturday and/or Taoist Meditation. The practices reinforce one another when taken together!
The Monday evening Wu form class emphasizes advanced practices, though there is also a beginners group for those learning Part I of the form. This allows for interaction between a group of highly experienced students and those new to the practice.
The Monday and Saturday evening Taoist Meditation class is suitable for all levels and is fundamental for opening your awareness to the more subtle relationships between mind, energy, spirit and movement.
Saturday mornings begin with the Yang Sword Form and is an excellent starting point for those whose interests and needs are focused on healing. The set includes healing and meditation for back and joint problems. Practitioners of Spinal Chi Kung experience immediate benefits from this practice which is elegantly simple while having a depth and richness few movement and energetic studies have reached. This class has a limited enrollment and is full for the year.
Robert is also a disciple of Yang Style Tai Chi Ch’uan. He no longer teaches public form classes, but is available to teach privately, or in small groups of students who have typically 10-30 years of experience. Robert teaches the Yang form at a depth and detail rarely found.
